Teak is a positive tree species that prefers warm, humid and sunny environments. It is suitable for growing in tropical monsoon areas with an average annual temperature of 23 to 27℃, an extreme low temperature of -1℃ or above, an annual precipitation of 1000 to 2000mm, distinct dry and wet alternation and no typhoons.
Teak prefers sunlight and deep alluvial soil with good drainage. It usually grows on low mountains, hills and plains below 800 meters.
